Forum debuts today

E-mail Print PDF

Pending any technical difficulty, the forum will launch this afternoon (PST).

UPDATE: The forum is beginning to come online now.  I've moved the LOGIN prompt to the left menu area to free up screen space for smaller monitors.  Sections will come online throughout the afternoon.

UPDATE 2: Everything appears to be working.  Once you are logged in, you can access the forum from the left menu.  We will grow the sections as we go, so if anyone has any questions or suggestions, please leave them in the general discussion forum.

UPDATE 3: With the forum officially launched, an interesting discussion has broken out in the "Ideas to Grow the Protocol" section.

UPDATE 4: I've increased the forum timeout from 30 mins to an hour so people have time to formulate responses.

UPDATE 5: I've created a "My Profile" menu item for those wishing to edit or their profiles or upload an icon.

Forum to launch next week

E-mail Print PDF

We will be launching the forum next week.  I have added two additional moderators to help us out on the forum, and if anyone else is interested, please let me know.  The last bit of business I have is to go through our membership roster and delete the accounts of obvious spam artists.  We actually received a registration from a user named "free incest cousins vids" today, and I doubt that person will ever add anything intelligent to our discussion.  We'll also be changing our sign-up policy so that all new members need be approved by me.  This will put some delays on the process of new members but I think it will give us all a better experience.

Stay tuned for an announcement on our next ONE-NET seminar.

Call for Mods

E-mail Print PDF
The online forum will be up in late July - once we are able to get the moderators in place to make sure it runs smoothly.  I will be reaching out to some people over the next few weeks for these positions.  However, if you’re interested in being a moderator, let me know ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Besides the free t-shirts, I think the benefit of such a role is your name will be closely associated with the core of ONE-NET. There will also be a special section of the website with contributor (this includes mods) biographies and contact information... so if you're looking at developing ONE-NET business, this would be a good thing of which to be part.

ONE-NET Consultants and Developers

E-mail Print PDF

These past few months have been very active for ONE-NET as the number of companies starting projects with ONE-NET has been increasing dramatically. We now have number of requests for ONE-NET consultants and developers, so I’d like to begin putting a list together of individuals and companies suited for such activities. The goal has always been to have a list of certified consultants and developers online so this would be a good first step.

For those interested, email me an overview with your capabilities and interests to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Fast Fact

ONE-NET is optimized for battery powered peripherals, so devices such as window sensors or moisture detectors can easily achieve a 3-5 year battery life with AA or AAA alkaline cells. This is made possible because the high data rate/short packets and Deterministic Sleep periods minimize the “on” time of the client transceiver.

Comments or Suggestions?

Do you have any suggestions or comments for us? Are there features you'd like to see on the website? Have you implemented ONE-NET in a new way? Let us know!
