As promised, here are the details about the ONE-NET seminar at Avnet. We will be giving away a set of eval boards (with the new 1.5 load) as well as some ONE-NET t-shirts. Everything you've ever wanted to know about ONE-NET can be answered in a short few hours, thanks to our friends at Avnet.
Here are the details: A free ONE-NET seminar will be held at Avnet March 19, 2009 from 2-4pm. This seminar will cover the basics about the following subjects:
• Introduction to the ONE-NET wireless control protocol
• ONE-NET application (home and appliance control)
• What hardware and software is available for designers
• Review of ONE-NET source code
• Review of sample ONE-NET designs

Agenda Items:
I. Introductions (2:00 – 2:10) - Formal introductions of the ONE-NET team will be made to the audience.
II. ONE-NET demonstration (2:10 – 2:25) - The ONE-NET team will demonstrate the range and low latency of the protocol in action.
III. Features and applications (2:20 – 2:40) - The ONE-NET team will discuss possible uses of the protocol, importance of the spec and how it can be applied.
IV. Hardware design considerations and resources (2:40 – 3:00) - The ONE-NET team will describe which types of devices are currently built into the protocol, which hardware is currently compatible and how to build compliant ONE-NET devices.
V. Software design considerations and resources (3:00 – 3:40) - The ONE-NET team will discuss the difference between simple clients and master devices and what defines a ONE-NET compliant application. What function does the application layer need to serve in a ONE-NET environment?
VI. Question and Answer Period (3:40 – 4:00)
